Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant featuring the light, but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the "family style" meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic flavor infused rice selections that are designed to be mixed and matched, creating a truly unique flavorful experience that will both dazzle and delight the senses.

Tamarine's food, cocktails, and wines emphasize balance-a delicately unique balance of flavors and fragrance, as well as texture and color. This precise balance will evoke a gastronomic journey through Southeast Asia and a pleasure to even the most discerning palates.

Proprietor Anne Le and Executive Chef/Proprietor Tammy Huynh worked with the Engstrom Design Group, one of America's top restaurant design firms, to bring their restaurant vision from concept to creation. Tamarine's "casual elegance" décor is Asian influenced in style, characterized by rich colors which are accented by beautiful Vietnamese fine art. The restaurant features an art gallery displaying the works of emerging artists from regional areas throughout Vietnam. Semi-annual exhibits will close with a cocktail event held at the close of the exhibition to auction the artwork. Proceeds generated from this exhibit will be donated to The Kipp Bayview Academy; is a middle school in the Bayview/Hunter’s Point neighborhood of San Francisco that is dedicated to closing the achievement gap and to have every one of its students go to college. Their philosophical belief is that the path to success is through education.
