The Restaurant

Designed by one of America’s top restaurant design firms, Tamarine’s “casual elegance” décor is modern Asian-influenced in style, characterized by rich colors accented by the beautiful contemporary Vietnamese fine art collection. The restaurant features an art gallery displaying the works of emerging artists from regional areas throughout Vietnam.

Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, Tamarine is a regular stomping ground for Silicon Valley movers and shakers. Forbes Magazine listed Tamarine as one of the “Top 10 Power Dining Spots” in the world.

Savor the Finest Delicacies

Influenced by China, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and France, the cuisine of Vietnam is a sophisticated contrast of textures and exotic flavors that lead to a journey of the senses. Tamarine’s interpretation of modern Vietnamese cuisine is characterized by refined innovation: utilizing Vietnamese ingredients in new compositions to reflect the culinary culture and abundant produce of California.

The result is a gastronomic tour through Southeast Asia and the California coast and a pleasure to even the most discerning palates.

Meet our Team

Tammy Huynh

Executive Chef/Proprietor

Executive Chef Tammy Huynh has had a long legacy in the restaurant industry. Her mom, Chac Do, opened Vung Tau restaurant in downtown San Jose in 1985, one of the pioneering authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the region. In 2002, Huynh followed in her family’s footsteps to open the contemporary Tamarine Restaurant. Cooking was actually a second career for Tammy. She studied biochemistry at UC Davis and earned a doctorate degree in pharmacy from the University of Pacific in Stockton. She worked as a pharmacist for years, got married, and had three children. At Tamarine, she has long blended traditional Vietnamese ingredients and techniques with contemporary flavors.
